Ramco Community Services has been appointed as the Project Management Unit (PMU) to drive two of Rajapalayam’s most critical urban missions: the implementation of the Rajapalayam Master Plan 2041 and the town’s ambitious journey towards carbon neutrality.
As the central coordinating agency, Ramco PMU is committed to aligning developmental projects across the Municipality and its surrounding Panchayats with both the long-term urban vision and Tamil Nadu’s broader climate action strategy.
With deep involvement in the ideation and evolution of the Master Plan, our team brings together a pool of experienced professionals and consultants with expertise in urban planning, infrastructure development, sustainability, and project management.
As for Rajapalayam’s transition towards carbon neutrality, in line with Tamil Nadu’s Climate Action Strategy, we are making this goal actionable through expert-backed planning, climate-smart technologies, and cross-sectoral coordination. With a strong foundation in climate governance and a deep commitment to resilient, low-carbon growth, Ramco PMU is positioned to lead Rajapalayam’s journey towards becoming a model carbon-neutral town.
To realise these twin missions of urban transformation and climate resilience, Ramco PMU focuses on three key mandates
1. Information Hub
We act as a central repository for data on existing, ongoing, and proposed projects across key sectors such as environment, water management, tourism, infrastructure, waste management, energy, and the economy.
2. Departmental Coordination
We serve as a bridge between municipal departments—such as Engineering, Town Planning, and Public Health— and the Panchayats, ensuring every initiative is Master Plan-aligned and free from duplication or conflict.
3. Project Development & Technical Support
From preparing Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) to integrating sustainable technologies like GIS, we offer comprehensive technical assistance to design, evaluate, and implement future-ready urban projects.
Our goal is simple yet transformative: to make Rajapalayam a model of effective, sustainable, and citizen-focused urban governance— one that is carbon neutral, climate smart, and resilient.
