Former Ramco Group chairman Shri. P.R. Ramasubrahmaneya Raja established RAMCO Industrial Training Institute in 1993 to impart technical skill development among the children of workers in the Rajapalayam area.

The principal of the ITI, Mr. M. Madasamy, manages the day-to-day activities of the Institution. The correspondent of the ITI is Mr. N.K. Shrikantan Raja. The principal, in consultation with the correspondent, organises the planning and development of the activities.

Ramco ITI, excellence engineering skill training

Ramco ITI is the largest Industrial Training Institute in the Virudhunagar district of Tamil Nadu. It trains 500 boys and girls at present. The Institute’s good infrastructure, well-equipped labs, workshops and spacious classrooms help maintain excellence in skill training in engineering.

Placement opportunities

The Institute offers placement opportunities for graduating students. In addition, companies like Ramco group of Industries (Ramco Cements, Ramco Textile divisions), Royal Enfield, Wheels India, Amar Raja Batteries, Green Valley, Igarashi Motors, etc., visit the campus to select students.
